무디 스미스(D. Moody Smith)는 세계적으로 저명한 요한 연구 학자로서 1965년부터 현재까지 노스캐롤라이나의 Durham에 소재한 Duke University School에서 가르쳐왔으며, 현재는 듀크 대학의 George Washington Ivey Professr of New Testament이다.
