미국 고든콘웰신학대학원(Th.M.)에서 구약학 최우수 졸업자 한 명에게 주어지는 ‘구약해석학상’을 수상했으며, 트리니티복음주의신학교(TEDS) 구약학 박사 과정을 이수했다. 현재는 신명기 5-26장에 나타난 법과 서사의 혼용 문제를 수사학적으로 분석하는 학위 논문을 작성하고 있다. The Evangelical Theological Society에서 “Granting a Land to a Vassal with No Merit: The Negative Picture of Israel and the Unconditional Acts of YHWH in Deuteronomy”(2010)를 발표했으며, <개혁논총>에 “Constitution for Righteousness: A Literary-Theological Study of the Laws on Public Offices in Deuteronomy 16:18-18:22”(2012)를 게재했다.
