칼빈 신학교의 신약 교수이며 이곳에서 20년 이상을 가르쳐왔다. 저서로는 『도외시된 결말: 바울서신 결어의 중요성』(Neglected Endings: The Significance of the Pauline Letter Closings), 『데살로니가전후서 저작들에 대해 주석이 달린 참고문헌 목록』(An Annotated Bibliography of 1 and 2 Thessalonians), 그리고 『존더반 일러스트레이티드 성경 배경 주석』(Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary)에 포함된 “데살로니가전후서”(1 and 2 Thessalonians) 등이 있다.
